Welcome to The Berghaus !

This beautiful pet-friendly home with a private yard is situated just off Elk Avenue and one block away from Historic Downtown Crested Butte. Recently awarded BOZAR Project of the Year, the Berghaus  is truly one of Crested Butte’s most ideal and iconic rentals- an amazing one bedroom, one bathroom home with  2 twin beds in a bonus loft, wood floors throughout, and high end finishes.

Enter through the large mudroom and kick off your hiking boots or ski boots on the custom bench with built in shelving–great for storing all of your gear, and complete with an electric boot dryer.  Head into the living room and relax in front of the remote controlled gas fireplace or take a break on the couch in front of the TV.  Enjoy the custom barn wood accents and modern finishes throughout all of the living spaces. French doors lead out from the living room to a large stone patio where you can take in the views of Mt. Crested Butte, or walk a few steps out your front gate to Town Park and the Center for the Arts.

The master bedroom is located off the living room and features a new King bed and adjoining full bathroom. The bathroom offers Jack and Jill sinks and other fantastic modern finishes. The loft is accessed via a spiral staircase and features two twin beds bringing the sleeping capacity to four.  For those guests requiring separate sleeping, the couch has a queen-sized pullout. All furnishings have been hand picked for this property.

The kitchen offers all new, stainless steel appliances and gas cooking.  After a long day on the trail, whip up your favorite meal or cocktail.  The dining table offers seating for four to enjoy family style meals, or take it outside to your private fenced-in patio with gas grill and outdoor dining table.

Brand new washer/dryer are conveniently located just off the kitchen. Private, off-street parking and lovely porch add to the convenience and serenity. The free Mt. Express shuttle is one block away at the Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce- a perfect starting point for your next Rocky Mountain adventure. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes, for a 10 minute ride to the base area of Mt. Crested Butte.

Bring your pets (2 dog max, max weight 50lb, sorry no cats) for an additional fee of $10 + tax per pet per night, minimum charge $80 per pet + tax.

Sean’s home is absolutely cozy, clean and well stocked. The pictures on line do not do it justice. The property management was quick to respond to all our needs, not that there were many. We were just a quick and easy walk to to all the shops and restaurants Crested Butte has to offer, could not ask for a better location. Beautiful Mountain view from right outside the living room sliding glass doors. Would highly recommend The Berghaus to anyone planning a trip to this quaint little town.

"Attractive, comfortable cottage. Beautifully maintanined home and an excellent base in charming Crested Butte villiage. The kitchen is well equipped and the main bedroom and bathroom are comfortable.  The loft room up a spiral staircase would be best used for older children and teenagers. we loved our stay"

****Crested Butte is a resort town, please note that when the Crested Butte Mountan Resort shuts down for the Spring shoulder Season, and again in the Fall, many of the shops, restaurants, and local businesses close down or operate under limited schedules. Refunds will not be granted to guests due to closure of any businesses in Crested Butte for any reason, as these events are out of our control. This property is strictly no smoking, both inside the house and the outside yard space.  Thank you for your cooperation!

Since this is a brand new property, extra attention will be paid to screening potential pet visitors (to avoid damage).  Only extremely well behaved pets will be considered and additional pet fees and deposits will apply.  All pets MUST be authorized by the office.

There are three off street parking spaces for this home. Please note that during the winter season only two parking spaces are guaranteed due to snow removal. During the winter season, please be sure to abide by the posted Winter Parking Laws to avoid ticketing/towing.

Grill is for summer use only.

RVs and campers are prohibited at all Watchdog properties.
