The Sunset Ridge Condo is a rare gem perfectly situated for any Crested Butte adventure you want to pursue, but once you step inside and see the fantastic layout, complete with new furniture and appliances, you may not want to leave!

You will be pleasantly surprised at the spacious feel of this unit- plenty of room to curl up by the fireplace, cook your favorite meal in the amenity - rich kitchen, or find some privacy in either bedroom- each with sitting areas and private entrances to bathrooms. Bedroom 2 also has a desk should you like to get some work done, or maybe just post a few pics of your amazing vacation. Soak in the jacuzzi tub after a long day of Rocky Mountain fun, enjoy a cup coffee at the charming dining area, and have happy hour on the private deck out back during Summer months, with plenty of room for a game of frisbee or pickle ball in the common area outside.

Tired of driving everywhere? No problem- the Westwall Chairlift is a 10 minute walk from the Sunset Ridge Condo, as is the bike and pedestrian friendly Recreation Path to the Town of Crested Butte (great for Nordic Skiing and snow shoeing in the Winter too!) The Mountain Express free shuttle stops right in the driveway every 30 minutes during Winter months, and every 20 minutes during Summer months- the free shuttle can get you to the shops, restaurants, and entertainment of Historic Downtown Crested Butte, or to all the action at the Mt. Crested Butte base area- including a Spa, an Ice Cream Parlor, Ski and Bike shops galore, great food, drinks, and entertainment too (free concerts by big-name regional acts every Wednesday during Summer months!)

In addition to easy access to the trails and activities of Mt. Crested Butte, you are also just minutes from river rafting, horseback riding, a world class golf course, snowmobile and/or ATV tours, miles of the finest biking and hiking trails anywhere, and of course, all the breathtaking natural splendor that the Elk Mountains have to offer- did you know that Crested Butte is the Wildflower Capital of Colorado?

Grab your skis, grab your bikes, ditch your vehicles, and come “lean in” to recreation and relation at this exceptional family-friendly condo!

*This unit is down 2 short flights of stairs.

The condo allows 1 parking space in the shared complex parking. Please note that the parking area is first come, first serve and parking spaces are not guaranteed. During the winter season, parking may be limited due to snow removal and storage.

Guests will be required to sign a guest rental agreement prior to receiving check-in and driving directions.

While the property lists a hot tub as an amenity this is a shared community hot tub and subject to open and closure by the HOA and/or governing entity. As such availability of the hot tub may be affected by maintenance work from time to time and is therefore not guaranteed. Children MUST be accompanied and supervised.

Please note that the Internet and Wi-Fi at this unit is provided by the Mountain edge condominium homeowners association, any/all Internet issues must be reported to the HOA for resolution. Watchdog Vacation does not have any means to assist with Internet issues at this unit. A number for support is provided on the welcome sheet in the unit.

Early check ins and or late check out requests may be granted on a per booking basis and may be subject to additional fees at the time of booking. Last minute requests cannot be granted due to pre established cleaning and maintenance schedules. Guests who occupy any part of the property including the driveway prematurely without preauthorization from the home owner or property manager will be subject to a $ 250 fine. Guests will also be asked to vacate the property and return at check in time. Guests who check out after 10am without preauthorization will be asked to vacate immediately and will be subject to a $ 250 fine.

Crested Butte is a resort town, please note that when the Crested Butte Mountain Resort shuts down for the Spring shoulder Season, and again in the Fall, many of the shops, restaurants, and local businesses close down or operate under limited schedules. Refunds will not be granted to guests due to closure of any businesses in Crested Butte for any reason, as these events are out of our control. Please see Vail's website for opening and closing dates for the mountain resort, as these dates change year to year.

Cancellations: Please familiarize yourself with our posted cancellation policy. Please note that due to Crested Butte’s limited rental seasons, no exceptions will be made to the cancellation policy under any circumstances. We strongly recommend purchasing some form of travel insurance if you feel you may need to cancel or alter your booking outside of the posted cancellation policy window.

The US Postal service does not deliver to households in Crested Butte, should you require items shipped to your property during your stay, we recommend using UPS or FedEx, and insuring these items. Watchdog is not responsible in any way for any items you choose to have shipped to any of our properties, and will not forward or store any shipped items that may arrive early or late, this is your responsibility, thank you for your understanding. If you have shipping needs for legitimate medical reasons, please contact the Watchdog Office for assistance.

My name is Sean Turner. I moved to Crested Butte in the early 1990's to experience the legendary snowboarding and skiing once hidden away in this historic mining town. I soon learned that the real beauty of Crested Butte was it's community- artists and athletes, ranchers and dreamers, a colorful mix of unique souls all united in a deep appreciation of the Gunnison Valley's wide open spaces, clean air and water, and limitless opportunity for outdoor recreation. I also learned that Summer in the Valley is just as amazing as Winter, and realized that I had found my happy place. My wife Ginny and I met here and made a life together, raising two amazing kiddos with the help of the local community- our old ski partners, peers, and dear friends became our children's teachers and administrators, mentors and guides. To me, this will always be the essence of Crested Butte- a small town where neighbors smile and take time to catch up, where all are welcome, in an environment so magnificent that folks travel from all over the world just to experience it. We are grateful to host visitors from far and wide, and despite the fact that our little town has grown quite a bit over the past few decades, we do our best to preserve the feeling of community and connectedness that makes this little corner of the Elk Mountains so appealing.
